ACTIVITIES

Many of us are reminded daily of how little control we possess over our lives. Learning to cope in outdoor and natural settings can enhance emotional and effective development. Some of these impacts include self-confidence, self esteem, optimism, and independence. Moreover, these accomplishments depend on working with others, which can foster various interpersonal abilities. This includes enhanced cooperation, tolerance, compassion, intimacy, and friendship.

Kinship Ranch is achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. We work on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of others, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make. Learn more about what we do, who we help, and how we work every day to promote positive change.

KINSHIP DISCOVERY CAMP

Campers will learn the important aspects of equine care with grooming, proper feeding and the importance of keeping the barn clean and safe. Children can have fun going into pens and paddocks with supervision and experience several different animals that they can feed, hold and caress.

We are dedicated to stepping up our efforts by offering hand-led safe and gentle ponies for children ages 4-11.

WOMEN RETREATS

The sessions at Kinship Ranch are always tailored to the individuals need. Horses make us lifelong learners. Being in the presence of horses seems to transform people in various ways.

During the past 20 years we have learned more about the beneficial effects for the therapeutic experiences with horse to human interactions. They have shown profound healing on physical, emotional and mental challenges. We learn to be present, authentic and honest with ourselves and others around us. They teach us to be the best version of ourselves.

KINSHIP RANCH SUSTAINABLE FARMING

Today where our food comes from is more important to our health and our lives depend on it. There are few things as important then where our food comes from, the chemicals used in the process, and the people or countries on every end of the food supply chain, is crucial.

The United States is suffering from an epidemic of health problems due to poor nutrition and bad food choices due to unhealthy eating habits beginning in childhood. Kinship Ranch gardens will assist children by teaching them how to plant, harvest what they plant, and the craft of canning and food preservation will be part of this process.

FARM DAY HANDS ON EXPERIENCE

Most children know little about where their food comes from. If future generations are going to care for farms, they must be directly exposed to the people and places that produce their foods.

Farm day provides a perfect opportunity for kids to use all their senses to learn. The more they can touch, smell and taste the things they are learning about, the more deeply connected they are and more they learn. Giving kids the explanation of what they are doing during hands-on activities and the 'big picture' will help them understand the importance farming is and will create a healthier future.

KINSHIP RANCH ANIMALS

Being able to get the animals through a rescue or are in need of a home, is preferred. With a location on site to rehab animals and offer adoption option is a possibility. The living conditions and environment is top priority because the camps education and proper care of the animals is most important.
